【摘要】:Outdoorexposuretestsatonelocationmaynotbeapplicabletoaprojectsiteatanotherlocation.Thistestmethodevaluatesgeotextilesundersitespecificatmosphericconditionsoveran18monthperiod.AdegradationcurveasperSection10.8,basedonstrength,elongation,ormodulus,orallofthese,maybedevelopedforthegeotextilebeingevaluated.Thistestmethodcanbeusedforcomparativetestingofthedegradationofgeotextiles.Thistestmethodisconsideredtobeaperformancetestandassuchtheresponsibilityforitsperformancerestswiththespecifyingorpurchasingagency.Note18212;Theintentofthisprocedureistoprovidetheuserofthistestmethodandgeotextilesastandardbywhichtoevaluateultravioletdegradationintermsofsitespecificconditions,notintermsofincidentradiationandtemperature.Ifdesired,theusermaywanttohavethenecessarymeasurementandrecordingequipmentateachsitetodothis.However,theexpenseofdoingsoateachsitemaybeprohibitive.Therefore,thisisnotaspecificrequirementofthistestmethod.1.1Thistestmethodcoversevaluatingthedeteriorationintensilestrengthandstrainafteroutdoorexposure.1.2Thedeteriorationisassessedasareductioninstrengthandstrainatfailurefromtheunexposedgeotextile.1.3Thespecificlocationofthelightandweatherexposureismadeonthebasisofasitespecificdecisionbetweenthepartiesinvolved.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
