【摘要】:ThispracticeprovidesameanstocompareDDAsonacommonsetoftechnicalmeasurements,realizingthatinpracticeadjustmentscanbemadetoachievesimilarresultsevenwithdisparateDDAsgivengeometricmagnification,orotherindustrialradiologicsettingsthatmaycompensateforoneshortcomingofadevice.AusermustunderstandthedefinitionsandcorrespondingperformanceparametersusedinthispracticeinordertomakeaninformeddecisiononhowagivenDDAcanbeusedinthetargetapplication.ThefactorsthatwillbeevaluatedforeachDDAare:basicspatialresolution(SRb),efficiency(DetectorSNR-normalized(dSNRn)at1mGy,fordifferentenergiesandbeamqualities),achievablecontrastsensitivity(CSa),specificmaterialthicknessrange(SMTR),imagelag,burn-in,badpixelsandinternalscatterradiation(ISR).1.1ThispracticedescribestheevaluationofDigitalDetectorArrays(DDAs),andassuresthatonecommonstandardexistsforquantitativecomparisonofDDAssothatanappropriateDDAisselectedtomeetNDTrequirements.1.2ThispracticeisintendedforusebymanufacturersorintegratorsofDDAstoprovidequantitativeresultsofDDAcharacteristicsforNDTuserorpurchaserconsumption.Someofthesetestsrequirespecializedtestphantomstoassureconsistencyamongresultsamongsuppliersormanufacturers.Thesetestsarenotintendedforuserstocomplete,noraretheyintendedforlongtermstabilitytrackingandlifetimemeasurements.However,theymaybeusedforthispurpose,ifsodesired.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
